You Can Only Have Three | Autumn Edition is a fun and engaging warm-up activity for A1–A2 learners. Using 5 cozy autumn-themed pictures, students discuss and make choices about their autumn aspirations, whether real or a little magical, sparking conversation and imagination.

How to Use

1. Show the 5 autumn-themed pictures to the students.
2. Explain the rule: each student can only choose three things from the list of cozy autumn items.
3. Ask students to share their choices and explain why they picked them, using phrases like:
   • I chose this because…
   • This is my favourite because…
4. Encourage discussion in pairs, small groups, or as a whole class to practise speaking skills and express personal preferences.
5. Optionally, compare choices and discuss differences, adding a playful or imaginative element to the conversation.
